I've spent 18 years in Primavera and project controls, most of them here in Australia. On project after project I've seen the same pattern: when project controls struggle, it's rarely for lack of tools. It's because the foundations were never set up properly, or have drifted since. A schedule nobody trusts, a system that has slowed to a crawl, standards only one person understands. Fixing those isn't glamorous work, but it decides whether a project is in control.
